These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Chronicle Canvas. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Chronicle Canvas helps users create timelines, store milestone details, organize reminders, attach files on eligible paid plans, and export or print story-based views.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account. You must provide accurate account and billing information when subscribing to a paid plan.
3. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation
Chronicle Canvas may offer free and paid plans with different limits for events, folders, file storage, exports, and related features. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. You can manage or cancel eligible subscriptions through the billing portal when available. If you cancel, your paid access continues through the end of the current billing period unless Stripe or applicable law requires otherwise. Refund requests are reviewed case by case and any legally required refunds will still be honored.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the text, files, images, and other content you add to Chronicle Canvas. You grant us permission to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use Chronicle Canvas to upload illegal content, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, harass people, attempt unauthorized access, or abuse system resources.
6. Storage and Limits
We may enforce storage, file size, event, folder, bandwidth, and other limits based on your plan. We may change limits or pricing with notice when reasonably possible.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, third-party provider issues, or events outside our control.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that Chronicle Canvas will meet every need, be error-free, or preserve data forever. You should keep separate backups of important records.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Chronicle Canvas and its creator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised terms.
